Do you need some new ways to discover juicy social media content to post?

If you're a marketer -- the answer is pretty much always YES!

Curating social media content can be a full-time job.

Consistency is a cornerstone to social media success -- but it's hard to be consistent if you're running out of stuff to post!

After a while, curating content from one social site to another gets old.

You need some new places to discover something different...

Here are my top 11 ways to discover social media content to post.

1. Repurpose your own content in a new way

If there was ever an Einsteinish way to find social media content -- it's hidden within your own blog.

Repurposing content has become an art form.

If you have evergreen content on your blog -- there is a huge opportunity for you to repurpose that content into Blabs, videos, ebooks, infographics, etc.

Or -- it can be much simpler than that.

You can just change the headline -- find or create a new image to post -- and post it again.

Good content is good content. It's always worth sharing!

2. All those email lists you've subscribed to

At the beginning of 2015, I made a New Year's resolution to unsubscribe from 10 email lists each week until my email was finally cleaned up and relevant.

As I started going through some of those emails though, I started remembering why I signed up on those lists in the first place.

There is really good info in some of them! I've have found many little nuggets of gold in those email newsletters.

You can find a lot of valuable content there -- well, assuming you've signed up on some good lists!

Of course, always take the extra step and give proper credit whenever you pull something from someone's newsletter.

3. Reddit (still one of the Internet's greatest treasures)

Spending 15 minutes on Reddit is like finding a gold treasure chest full of jewels and opening it slowly.

You know you're gonna find lots of goodies inside!

I don't know why more people don't pull content from Reddit. It's fabulous.

If you're like me -- you'll discover layer after layer of quirky content just waiting for you to post!

Just click over to this Redditlist and subscribe to the subreddits that interest you.

Again - don't forget to give proper credit!

4. Klout

Say the word "Klout" and people usually crinkle their noses.

I think most of us agree that our online presence can't be accurately represented in a 2-digit number.

But still -- the Klout website has some kinda neat features.

One of those is the ability to curate content directly within the site.

Klout will show you posts related to the topics they associate you with.

As you click thumbs up or thumbs down for each post, their algorithm starts to learn more about what you like and don't like.

It uses that information to determine which posts to show you next.

You can schedule content to post on Twitter and Facebook directly from within the Klout interface.

It also allows you to add an image to your posts -- which is nice since we all know that images attract so much more attention and engagement.

See.. it turns out there might be a reason to log into Klout every now and then after all!

5. Your own camera roll (you'll be surprised what you can find!)

Leonardo da Vinci said, "Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication."

I couldn't agree more!

People often only think about posting new pictures they've taken.

Look in your camera roll -- there are probably hundreds of pics in there that you could add a filter to or crank up the colors to make a very nice social media post.

I've done this too many times to count.

It's basically curating content from your own personal stash on your phone.

Discovering social media content to post doesn't have to be complicated!

6. Old-School-Style Magazines

You would think that everything published in a magazine would have been posted on social media a zillion times -- but that's not true.

Next time you're standing in line at the supermarket -- thumb through the magazines (especially the ones in your niche).

They are filled with interesting tidbits that make up quality social media content.

Sometimes the best place to find online content is offline.

7. Slideshare

I'm addicted to Slideshare at the moment.

There's so much REALLY GOOD content on there -- and I don't see a lot of it being posted on social media.

Explore the Slideshare topics -- and you'll find a plethora of juicy goodness to share on social media!

8. Post Planner

There are a lot of features that people loooove about Post Planner.

My favorite is how Post Planner helps users discover the perfect (trending) content in their niche.

Post Planner gives you a ton of choices! You can make your decision about what to post based on real-time analytics.

It will make you look like a content curating rockstar!

9. Twitter Lists

I don't know why more people don't use Twitter Lists. It's a handy feature for many reasons.

If you can always find quality content in your niche instantly -- you'll never run out of things to post.

By creating a Twitter List for the Twitter accounts that consistently post high quality shareable content over and over -- you'll always have great content at your fingertips.

It really is that simple.

Once you start using Twitter Lists -- you'll wonder what you ever did without them.

You can learn how to set up your own lists by clicking over to Using Twitter Lists in the Twitter Help Center.

10. Quote Sites / Joke Sites

When all else fails -- post an inspiring quote or a joke, right?

It may seem cliché, but people love quotes and jokes!

If you can find those obscure quotes and jokes that are specific to your niche -- that's even better.

BrianyQuote and Goodreads are both excellent places to find quotes.

For jokes, I recommend following the jokes subreddit -- or go to Google for joke sites (there are tons of them).

*You get extra points if you drop the quote into Canva and make a quote graphic with it!

11. Flipboard

I don't know what it is about Flipboard that makes it so appealing.

Maybe it's because the site is so easy to use -- or maybe it's because it actually looks like a slick magazine.

If you've never used Flipboard, you gotta check it out!

Just click over to the site, sign in, and choose the categories you are interested in.

Flipboard will then display that content to you in a very visually-appealing way.

It feels like you're actually flipping through a magazine.
